Cornerstone Christian Academy

- Cornerstone Christian Academy is located in Huntsville, Arkansas on the campus of First Baptist Church at 803 Governors Road.
Cornerstone Christian Academy is developing University Model School. We hope to begin our first semester in September of 2008.
A University -Model School (UMS) is the solution for many parents seeking a viable educational alternative for their children. UMS has taken the most positive aspects from traditional public and private schools as well as home schools, to give students from elementary through high school a highly successful, college preparatory curriculum.
Elementary students usually attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are in their home (satellite) classrooms on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays..
Beginning with the seventh grade, students are usually in the central classroom with a professional educator on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and in the satellite classroom under parental supervision Tuesdays and Thursdays. In both elementary and secondary, parents follow teacher-designed assignment sheets while students are in satellite classrooms.
By the junior and senior years, students are in a university-style schedule, taking courses that may be scheduled any day of the week. They are involved in extra curricular activities and many also work part-time jobs. Junior and senior students are responsible for accomplishing teacher-designed, out of class assignments on their own time, but under the counsel of their parents.
